We had gone on a bus tour of the countryside of Amsterdam. Along the way we stopped at many places including this wooden shoe maker's place. It was cool to see how they made shoes before the new machines came along. Jeff and I bought a pair of wooden shoes. Going to take some time to get use to wearing them!!

It was a special treat to see actual windmills still in operation. They say that there are only about 800 left in Holland and they are now preserved for history. Through out time thousands were destroyed.

It's not too often that Jeff is actually in a picture! He is usually behind the camera............................................

taking pictures of ME!! Holland is a beautiful country and we both thoroughly enjoyed ourselves. Though this was not a planned visit we did love the experience of being in Amsterdam!
Our next stop on the tour was to a working cheese Farm where they actually still made cheese by hand and sell worldwide. We had some sampling and it was delicious. Couldn't resist but to buy some to take home!

Back on the bus again riding around Holland we came across this picturesque little fishing town. The view and the building were just perfect.

We spotted two police on horses trotting down the road. The roads were so narrow that the tour bus has some tight turns to make........pretty amazing how they can maneuver through those narrow streets.

A Lake view of the fishing village. It was such a beautiful day to be out and just exploring this village.

These little homes were just the cutest little things I have seen!! Again we just couldn't get over the scenery here. So different from what we are use to seeing!

This was a Palace located at the end of Damrok Street in Amsterdam. A big gathering place for people to visit out on the square.

this picture was taken outside of the Anne Frank House. What an experience to walk through the secret Annex and see how they lived in hiding for over two years. I would do the tour again if I was ever back in Amsterdam.

And this is a shot of the Famous Red Light District in Amsterdam. We walked it during the day just to be safe. They actually offer tours with a lady of the evening!!

Next Stop PRAGUE!!

Amsterdam was fun!  :)

We spent four days in Amsterdam due to the fact that I needed a visa to enter Prague.

After receiving my visa we are now off to Prague.

What adventures are is store for us there?
