| How did the Berlin Wall affect society? The fall of The Berlin Wall was a major event in history. Many East Germans lost their lives trying to get to the other side of the wall when it was still standing. They tried to escape because East Germany had such bad conditions for living. When the wall finally fell it gave Germany hope. No longer would the communist Soviet Union run East Germany. Evenctually East and West Germany became one country and The Berlin Wall was gone forever. |
| I chose this topic for my event because I feell that you can learn from history. This event changed the world. A wall was actually built to seportate a country into two parts. Communism has always caused problems, and I find it interesting to learn how the USA helps these countries in trouble. An Example would be the Berlin Air Lift. |
