Martin Lee Gore
Born in England on July 23th 1961.
Martin is 5'7" tall and has green eyes. His wifes name is Suzanne and his daughters are Viva Lee and Ava Lee.
Before joining Composition of Sound Martin was in a band called The French Look and Martin & the Worms.
On the first album Speak and Spell, Martin only wrote 2 of the songs. Now he writes all of DEPECHE MODE's material.
Martin's oldest daughter Viva Lee was born the same year as Andrew's daughter, 1991.
Viva Lee sang Question of Time on stage with Dave in Honolulu in 1994.
Also in 1994 Martin was hospitalized for heart problems. Since the beginning of the tour he had taken pills to sleep and then pills to stay awake and his circulation couldn't take it any longer. He also married his long time girlfriend Suzanne in 94.
In 1999 Martin was presented with an award for "International Achievement"by the Brtish Academy of Songwriters and Composers.
As well as a fantastic songwriter Martin Gore also has a wonderful voice and has sung quite a few songs on each album.
Martin has also been known to wear drag and strip at social gatherings.

Born in Epping, England on May 9th 1962.
Dave has hazel eyes and stands 5'11".
He is currently married to his third wife Jennifer and has two children, Jack (from his first wife Joanne) and Stella Rose. Dave attended Southend Art College for three years and was the one who came up with the bands name from a french magazine called "Mode Depeche."
He was a part time roadie and mixer for the band until 1981 when he became the lead singer.
In 1991 Dave left his first wife Joanne and son Jack and moved to Los Angeles (Dave's favorite city) and later married Theresa Conway in 1993, a former DEPECHE MODE press liason. His second wife Theresa was known to have an affinity for heroine and was into tattoos and piercings.
In 1995 Dave was admitted to the hospital for "lacerations" his official statement was that he was having marriage problems. In 1996 Dave was admitted again for an overdose on heroine and cocaine. He became so well known by the paramedics at this time that they nicknamed him "The Cat" because they were always running into him.
Dave was ordered to enter rehab and was charged with drug possesion and given probation. Dave got clean, moved to New York and started working with a vocal coach to finish the Ultra album.
In July of 1999 Dave's daughter Stella Rose was born in New York. Dave's hobby is painting and one of his favorite bands is Jane's Addiction.

Andrew John "Fletch" Fletcher
Born July 8th, 1961 in Nottingham, England. Andy is 6'3" and has blue eyes. He and his wife Grainne have two children Megan and Joseph.
Andy has always been known as the backbone of the band. Before DEPECHE MODE he sang in the church choir and was in a band called No Romance In China with Vince Clarke. Andy's daughter Megan was born a month apart from Martin's daughter Viva Lee. Interesting if you notice Martin and Andy's birthdates as well. In 1994 Andy left the band for a short time to recover from kidney stones and be there for the birth of his son Joseph. He was replaced for the time by Daryl Bamonte a longtime friend of the band.
Andrew Fletcher also owns a restaurant in St. Johns Wood, London called Glascogne.
