| Co-op Atlantic Invites Huntington Society to Annual General Meeting Amherst native, Beatrice Langille, National Board Member of the Huntington Society of Canada, attended the Annual General Meeting of Co-op Atlantic in Moncton this past weekend. Co-op Atlantic has had an ongoing corporate partnership with the Huntington Society for the past number of years and has cooperated in many ways in both awareness and fund raising campaigns. While there, Mrs Langille, along with Social workers Marthe Geautreau and Lina Geyer organized an information booth in the lobby and handed out literature to all interested Co-op members. On Saturday morning a presentation to the assembly was made by Mrs Langille and Mrs Gautreau along with a short film on HD research. Afterwards a volunteer collection by the Co-op members created a donation of over $1400.00 to the Society. Many store managers have agreed to carry HD material and literature in their stores as well as continuing their support of the Christmas Amaryllis campaign. On behalf of the Huntington Society of Canada, Mrs Langille would like to take this opportunity to publicly thank Co-op Atlantic for everything they have and are continuing to do. |
