Exam Breakdown: Dr. Maltz: 30 questions
PH412-Clinical Pharmacokinetics Study hard!!! -Final Exam Breakdown: The exam is 2 hours. Total of 36 questions= 64 point antiarrhythmics and 34 points vancomycin. There are 26 questions on Antiarrhythmic, in which about 8 involve calculations.
-Exam III-Here's the point breakdown for the exam: Immunosuppressive = 11 points, Warfarin = 11 points, and Aminoglycosides = 78 points. There will be a more even breakdown of theory and calculation questions than previous exam. We will keep you up to date as far as how many questions for each topic and how much time we will have. We have addressed the time issue and the uneven breakdown of questions to our professors. Hopefully, things will get better! -There are TWO (2) corrections on the AGs Practice Problems #6 and #10. Please download the "Solutions for AG practice problems" document to get the corrections as well as more practice problems from BRES or click here! -Which body weighht to use for CrCl and VD calculations? -Aminoglycosides: Dr. Phaam and Dr. Stone wrote that "You will be provided with the patient's dosing weight within the case UNLESS the question specifically asks you to calculate the dosing weight." The same dosing weight is used for CrCl and Vd on Dr. Pham's part. Advice: Learn, Practice & Memorize the step-by-step approach on how to do the AGs calculation just like to Dr. Pham went over in class!!! Know how to start working a problem from the beginning of the chart, in the middle or near the end. Please see below for her office hours! -Vancomycin (on Final)= For CrCl, use IBW!! for Vd and Dose, use Actual BW unless obese!
