The BIG bike ride in Denmark

22nd June. Day 94. Making useful purchases and PARTYING in the Danish capital...
21st June. Day 93. Got my rear bike wheel trued for the second time on this journey. Saw the little mermaid and the Danish Resistance museum. Meeting some people, doing some things.
20th June. Day 92. Sorting a few things out whilst in a big city. Doing some communal cooking with people in the hostel. Generally chilling out.
19th June. Day 91. Went to the very interesting Viking ship museum in Roskilde and then cycled to Copenhagen. On my way got a great view of the Øresund link. Staying at the YH in Amager.
18th June. Day 90. Cycled down more of route six from Sorø to Ringsted and then Roskilde the viking capital of Zeland. Staying at the Youth Hostel, meeting lots of people into The Vikings.
17th June. Day 89. Went to see some great photography in Odense and then I was off. Cycled to Nyborg and then caught the bus (with a great bike carrying trailer) across the great belt bridge to Korsør in Zeland. Cycled to a closed Youth Hostel in Sorø and ended up camping nearby. The area is a very scenic conservation area, a National Park or something by the shores of a lake.
16th June. Day 88. Cycled Aarup to Odense via lots of countryside and the 'Funen Alps' (highest point 131M - get excited, the locals do). Staying in Odense city Youth Hostel. Met an Aussie who had just crashed his motorbike on the way to Copenhagen and some friendly people who gave me advice about seeing the new bridges.
15th June. Day 87. I was planning to just ride across Funen today. Get up early and all that. But it wasn't to be. Found two bulges in my rear tyre. Turns out the sidewall had decided to de-laminate itself (I knew the tread wouldn't last forever, but I wasn't expecting this!). Anyway, so I didn't get as far as I planned. Cycled along more of route five to Kolding, then over the bridge to Middelfart on Funen. Cycled to Aarup in the rain to stay at a Youth Hostel.
14th June. Day 86. Denmark is really making me feel like a cyclist on holiday. They really do the best to make things easy for you. Rode Åbenrå to Haderslev along national route five. Camping near Sønder Stenderup by the sea.
13th June. Day 85. Feeling lazy, rode just over the border from Flensburg into Denmark. Staying at the Youth Hostel at Åbenrå. Spending some time getting my plans together for Scandanavia.
