Subject: Why did the tomatoe turn red?

Because it was the salad dressing...

I'm sorry... it's not my fault.. it was on the McDonald's placemat...

Ugh...

So I went to my little brother's Orientation Day at Sydney Boys... I stood in line for 2 hours and 17 minutes to get to the uniform shop... and the saddest bit about that is that there were only like a dozen people in front of me, max... by the time I left the line was four times as long... they must have been there for ages... for all I know they're still there now...

And arrgggghhh... some boys... the boy in the line behind us... he was going on about how he wanted to rifle shooting... and I commented (boasted) about how a girl from our school had been first in (was it the state?) in rifle shooting... he replies (and I quote) "Well, I guess that that's to be expected, as it has been scientifically proven that women are generally more dextrous than men, whereas men, by large, tend to be superior in strength..."  What the hell?  He's like 11... who talks like that at that age?

But hehehe... their "Great Hall" is really ugly... and can only fit like 400 people, maybe not even... but oooh... and the risk of sounding like a cradle-snatcher... there are some really cute seniors wandering around the boys school... where were they when we went to Sydney Girls?

Did anyone know that sports is compulsory at SBHS... on Saturdays?  Yes, it's true... the principal described the school as having a "6-day-week"... and the sports co-ordinator said that having Saturday school was not sufficient excuse for not attending Saturday sport... gees... I feel so lucky...

But that reminds me... something rather disturbing... they had Year 8 kids modelling sports uniforms (they have different ones for each sport, fencing, rugby, rowing etc.).. when they got to swimming, they a guy with... hmm... how shall I put it...as my mum said, "a bod"... the scary thing was that I heard some appreciative murmurs from the mums around me, and saw some speculative looks.. eeeeeeewwwwwwwww....

Grrr... first year uni girls are similarly yerk... overhearing their conversations can make you dumber, I'm so certain...

A: "Oh my god, I can't believe that next year we'll be in second year."
B: Oh, I know... I mean, it'll be so bad, how will we know if a guy is younger than us or not?"
A: "Omg, that's exactly what I was thinking!  Cause, in first year, the guys all have to be at least as old as you, if not older, but next year, there'll be all these first years wandering around, and omg, how awful to be asked out by a younger guy... how would you know?"
B: "Yeah, totally.  Hey, you know what, though?  I hear that guys really really like it when girls wear, like, short summer dresses..."
A: "Really?  Oh no... I have like, barely any of those... I'm going to have to go shopping for some..."

So painful...

Yes, yes... Menike, I am so up for more shopping... and I can go with a clear conscious, 'cos I bought nothing at Glebe... and I wanna come to your NYE party...

Brendy, I am good with 10.30, 10.45 at Museum, or wherever...

And Lauren... I found some place to volunteer... it's like the UTS Community Legal Centre... I found it surfing the web a couple of days ago... I'll find the website again, and email it to you...
