They 'Rock My Socks'!
Courtney Love is my absolute favourite of them all. Oh my god... where do I even begin?  Hole's music speaks to me like no other - it rocks me to sleep, washes away my tears - or, rather, induces them... "I hear the truth, it's coming from Courtney!"  As Menike and I once commented: there is a Hole song for every occasion.  The concert I attended in 1999 was so inspiring - she let people sit up onstage with her and even gave away her guitar.  I love Courtney.
Nina Gordon - or 'Nina Schmina', as I like to refer to her - has a beautiful voice, beautiful songs, and the best rock chick wardrobe around.  Her website also kicks ass.
"It's not normal to fantasise about your lecturers, is it?" I once asked Chantelle.  No, not those kinds of fantasies - just the ones where Catharine Lumby, my 'good feminist boy' husband, and I go for brunch at Bronte every Sunday.  Catharine is my hero, but, having said that, I will probably fail Print Journalism, as it is my only chance of actually doing well at something this semester. ;)
I can't say I love William Wordsworth for his poetry - but then - I'd be lying if I said I loved him for his looks.  I love 'Billie' (as Livvie and I would say) for his essay, and that one poem he wrote which I loved.  I am to be Wordsworth, and Andrew is to be Coleridge, and that is the final word (only neither of us will be poets ;)).
Natasha Stott-Despoja rocks my socks not because she's young and female (that would be lame), but because her policies are better than everyone elses and she manages to dispell the myth of the 'dumb blonde' by outsmarting her interviewers and jealous detractors like Amanda Vanstone.
It is a cruel joke that all my favourite writers must be physically unattractive.  I love Arthur Miller nonetheless.  He inspired my famous quote: "All the men I love are dead... or gay... or have girlfriends."  And Marilyn loved him too... so...  The Crucible is the best play ever, and I known for quoting it a little too often.
