SEPTEMBER
This year, our class will be using September to focus on team building activities.  We will study character education and learn that our class is just like a big family.  Hopefully, this will help us to support one another throughout the year and treat each other with kindness.  In addition, we will be completing a unit on Johnny Appleseed as well studying the lifecycle of an apple.

My School Promise

Each day I'll do my best
And I won't do any less.
My work will always please me
And I won't accept a mess.
I'll color very carefully
My writing will be neat.
And I will not be happy
Til' my papers are complete.
I'll always do my homework
And try my best on every test.
I won't forget my promise
To do my very best!
SEPTEMBER POEMS
Keep a Poem in your Pocket

Keep a poem in your pocket
and a picture in your head
and you'll never feel lonely at night when you're in bed.

The little poem will sing to you
the little picture bring to you
a dozen dreams to dance to you
at night when you're in bed.

So--
Keep a picture in your pocket
and a poem in your head
and you'll never be lonely at night when you're in bed.
A Circle of Friends

We've joined together as classmates
as the new year begins...
A year full of learning
while we become friends.
We'll share and be kind
as we work and play.
And our friendship will grow
with each passing day.
