The Little DNA Project is tracking Y-Chromosome DNA, which is only passed down from fathers to sons. If you are a male Little (or similar spelling), then you are welcome to join the project.

Simply fill out the form at the bottom of the page or go to FTDNA's Little Join Page. All information will be kept strictly private. We recommend the Y-DNA-12 test ($99) to place you within one of the major groups of Littles. If results are inconclusive, then an upgrade to 37-markers (an additional $99) may provide more information.

Please note that all of the cost of the test goes to the Family Tree DNA. Neither the Little DNA Project nor the project administrators gets any form of payment when folks order a DNA test.

As an alternative, you may also join the SMGF project. Participation is free, though there is a twelve month wait (or more) before your results are indirectly posted on their web site.

If you are a member of another project and would like to join ours, simply go to Family Tree DNA, enter your kit number and password, click the icon at left of the new page, and select the Little project.

If you were tested by the Genographic project and would like to join our project, go to the Genographic site, enter your kit number, click the Learn More link at the bottom of your report page, and follow the instructions.

If your Littles were originally Kleins, you might consider joining the Klein/Little Project instead.
