| God Everyone has a soul. A soul is a little piece of God, and through this, we are his people. There is not a person on earth who never once did something God would have done, even if it was just by accident. At death, we return to God from which we came, our father. For those who in life did not connect with God, I can't say I honestly believe that God would condemn them to hell, despite what the bible says. I tend to believe that God finds a way to give them another chance...This is just a bit of my personal belief, and I'm not going to impress it upon anyone, because whether I am wrong or right does not matter to us already christians does it? And when talking to a nonchristian would likely give them the attitude of "I'll take chance #2 then." Nevertheless, this is what I believe. Why Believe? Life is much easier to handle if you have him in your heart, if you understand that he is there for you no matter what. Quite frankly, fot that reason alone, I would bitterly refuse to deny that God exists. That, however is not the only reason to believe in him, there are countless reasons to, but the main one would be just the mere fact that he is real, and he is our salvation. The Bible When you need to understand God better, I'm sure lots of us turn to our bibles. I personally think that the bible is very confusing, and to be honest, I like to use other methods of understanding God. Not to say it is bad to read your bible or anything because it's not. If you read your bible daily I commend you. I am simply saying, that the bible is the history of God, and if you choose to listen to God in your heart, it lots less confusing. To me the bible is mainly a reference, and a history book. I am not the kind that searches through my bible to see what the word of God says I can and cannot do. Just listen to your heart and listen to God when you talk to him, and based on that info, do what you think is right. After all, if you are wrong, well that's what Jesus died for right? There is a particulary useful part of the bible however, and this is the book of Psalms and the book of Proverbs. These short verses give lots of cluse about life, and serve as pointer when you feel lost, or when you just feel like trying to stimulate your relationship with God. The verses are often very deep and meaningful, and very worth reading. Always remember that though the bible is indeed the word of God, it was written by imperfect humans. I'm not saying that the bible is thus full of lies, I'm just saying that when in doubt, it may be wise to trust the God that you can feel. God in our lives When you are in fear, turn to God. When you are sad, turn to God. When you are happy, turn to God. When you are thankful, turn to God. Getting the point here? God never leaves our lives. He isn't there for you to feel paranoid about doing something wrong, or to immediately throw disasterous consequences at you? He is there to help you do the right thing, and to help you help others in life. The only real purpose we have in life is to do God's will. Failing to do his will does not result in a one way ticket to Hell, it just causes God to thrust more inspiration into our lives. Inspiration is a sign from God that you are headed the right way. Definately a valuable thing. Helping NonChristians find God This is one of the greatest things we can do for the kingdom of God. If you know that God is real, share it! Why keep othere from a truth that saves their soul? While it is unwise to try and badger someone into religion, don't delay in beginning your efforts since you never know when death lurks near. Make sure they know that you are trying to show them this out of genuine compassion for them, and make it clear right away that in religion, it doesn't cut it to act liek you know God, and it doesn't matter what others think. It only matters that you and God have a relationship, and you have faith in him. Beyond this advice, I leave the rest of the project to your creativity. It is a big, unforgiving, and largely unfaithful world out there. Don't let that scare you. For every person you save, the world becomes a better place. If you get burned in spreading the word of God, do not lose faith. It is the people that persistthrough tragic scenarios that stand out most to those in the world. Who knows, maybe getting burned will bring you a new audience. If you need help, don't bother asking me, just ask God, he knows far better than me, after all, I'm only human like everyone else you know. ;) |
