| What makes a good friendship? If you were to list everything you would expect to find in a good friend, what would you find? I actually did this, and here is what I came up with. I sat down and thought about some qualities that i would like to see in my friends and here is what I had: Honesty Integrity Kindness Caring Patience Helpfulness I thought about what these have in common and found that they can be described by one word: LOVE. Friendships should be based on love. If your friend loved you, they would tell you the truth, even when it hurts, honor their words and promises, be kind and care about you, put up with the little things that make you YOU, and would be willing to help you if they can. I am not saying that every friendship you have is going to be this way, nobody is perfect. You will have friends that lie to you, and I admit i have lied to friends before, but I am not proud of i, nor do I encourage it. I am working on parts of my personality also. I have never broken a promise to anyone, well except for GK, but he deserved it, those of you that know him know what I mean. I try to stand up to my word. Patience... Well, mine could ise work. In the world today, it is almost impossible to find a true friend. When and if you do, hold on to them if you can. Friendship is the key to a better society. |
