It is reported that Robert Washington Little was overseer for Turner M. Wilson
By 1860, Wilson's plantation had grown to 1500 acres, 57 adult slaves, and 12
slaves that were blind or deaf. Wilson had a reputation being kind and gentle.
Robert Washington Little was one of the six young men who was baptized in 1846
a day after Pleasant Hill Baptist Church was formed. In 1850, while still at
home with his parents, 2 other young men lived with them: Samuel Bottoms from
Va., a M.D. and William McLendon, from Ga., a laborer.
