small amount stuffing            pipe cleaner         Size 1 steel hook                   1/4 inch ribbon

Body
R1.....ch 2, 6 sc in 2nd chain from the hook. (6)
R2.....2 sc in each stitch around (12)
R3.....sc in the 1st sc, 2 sc in the next sc around (18)R4-25....sc in each sc around (18) stuff firmly working the stuffing around the pipe cleaner inside the body. Cut pipe cleaner to fit before inserting in the body.
R26....sc decrease in the 1st sc, sc next sc around (12)
R27...sc decrease in each sc around,. (6) finish off with a sl st and sew opening closed.

Foot...Make 8
R1.....ch 2, 6 sc in 2nd chain from the hook. (6)
R2.....2 sc in each stitch around (12)
R3.....sc in each sc around, finish off. (12)
Assembly
Sew four legs to the front of the body starting at round 6, two on each side. Sew the four remaing legs on the back of the body, starting at r 21. Sew seed beads on the front of the head at r3. Tie a ribbon bow around the worms neck.
Bend your inch worm into a horse shoe shape so that legs ar resting on the surface of a table.
*french knots may be used in place of seed beads.
Gothic Style Wings
Work wings seperately 

Wing 1

Row 1: Ch2, work 6 sc in the 2nd ch from the hook, ch 1, turn
Row 2: Work 2 sc in each sc across, ch 7, turn
Row 3: Sl st in the 1st sc , sl in the 1st ch, sc next, hdc in the next 4, sk 1st sc of row 2, sl st in the next sc,ch 5, sl st in the 2nd ch from the hook, sc in the next, hdc in the next  ch, sk next sc of row 2, ( sl st in the next, ch 3, sl st in the 2nd ch from the hook, sc in the next, sk next sc of row 2), repeat once more between ( ), sl st in the next sc of row 2, sl st in the next, sc in the next 4, ch 1 do not turn.
Row 4:  Sc 5 sc evenly across beginning chain and sc ends.  Fasten off.

Wing 2

Rows 1-2: Repeat rows 1 and 2 of Wing 1
Row 3: Sc in the next 4 sc of row 2,  sl st in the next, (ch 3, sl st in the 2nd ch from the hook, sc in the next, sk next sc of row 2, sl st in the next sc of row 2), repeat once more between ( ),ch 5, sl st in the 2nd ch from the hook, sc in the next, hdc in the next 2 ch, sk next sc of row 2, sl st in the next sc, ch 7, Sl st in the 1st ch , sl in the 1st ch, sc next, hdc in the next 4, sl st in the next sc of round 2, ch 1, do not turn.
Row 4:  Sc 5 sc evenly across beginning chain and sc ends.  Fasten off.
