Disclaimer:I don't own CCS, Clamp does. Don't sue! Um, this story has Silver Star and Fiery as substitutes for Yue and Kero. I never stole any ideas from the stories of Pern.

Wow, nowadays a simple writer can't get a story posted without having to put up a fight to get her stories reviewed!!! ;) But, hopefully Mystical Ying & Yang fans have stuck with me. And that is the reason why I must keep going on.

This is the second last chapter of MY&Y, and I hope all of you's will be happy enough to read it. After all it was my second fic. Not my best, but second.

Um, I think I'd like to thank everyone, especially Fi, cause she likes this story best even though after a few chapters after I had posted the title, I thought it was rather lame. Please support Supreet and Jas's stories.

Jas's username is: minifoot
Supreet's username is: s just me

Anyway, it's almost the end of the story so stay tuned! ^.~

Mystical Ying and Yang

Chapter 14: Parting Reunion

As a healer and not one used to fighting, Tomoyo was in the infirmary, where cartloads of immortals and humans were being carried in. The war was over but they had lost many of their own people and many were grieving.

Luckily, Eriol himself had escaped with only several bruises and a painful arm wound that ran from elbow to wrist. It was shallow and would heal but it would leave a scar.

But the worst news to them was that Sakura hadn't been seen since the whole battle had begun.

As Tomoyo helped a sore half elve bandage his torso, she asked many of the other helpers if they had heard any news of her best friend.

"Tomoyo, you mustn't worry Sakura can take care of herself. She is very capable of that." Eriol gave his love a swift hug, kissed her cheek and helped her with the bandage.

"Have you at least heard anything about Silver Star?" the worried look was back in her eyes as she watched her mysterious lover.

With a peculiar look, he answered. "Yes, I saw her while in battle but I haven't seen her anywhere since it was over."

As he looked back on her, he gripped her.

"Stop thinking that this instant. Silver Star can handle anything. Dragons are very competent. You should know! Midnight is very hard to control, as Copper tells me. Like dragon, like rider." And he ducked as she tried to swipe him away.

And so the two of them ran around until the patients caught Tomoyo's attention and brought her back to reality.

As she worked she mumbled.

"Humph Like dragon, like rider aye? I'll teach him.." as her boy just grinned and started circulating the room, bringing laughter as he joked and teased.

A trumpet of dragon cries brought the two of them back to a sense of living. The two had been there for hours, waiting to live, waiting to die.

Finally, familiar blasts of triumphant blaring brought them outside of the dark temple. The temple itself was looking less hostile, and its walls and columns were a paler shade of grey. It was as if the darkness was being washed off by their presence.

Sakura hobbled and leaned on a weary Syaoran, as they made their way outside. And there outside, waiting was Night Wolf and Silver Star. Both were looking haggard and were missing scales from various parts of their bodies but were relatively well. Both also were charred and slightly black, but it wasn't like you could see it on Wolf.

Silver greeted her rider as Wolf greeted his.

"Welcome back, Syaoran, nice to see you complete and well." The grin in Night's mind-voice was strong, though worn-down slightly.

"Yes, it is nice to see you too, Wolf." Drawled Syaoran back, hugging his mount before thoroughly running his hands over his mounts body.

"There is nothing serious, few scales loose that's all. I checked him myself." The cool, queenly mind voice of Silver echoed before she retreated back to her rider who was hugging her neck.

"Oh Silver, how I missed you" Sakura mumbled as if she and her dragon hadn't seen each other for decades. For that was how it seemed to her and as she climbed upon the slightly rough back of her mount, she watched Syaoran do the same.

They had to inform everyone, of what was to come after. The conclusion.

(Flashback)

It had come to them, in the hours of waiting, the vision.

"Syaoran what happened back there" Sakura had asked, with her eyes glazed.

"You mean the light?"

"Yes."

"I'm not sure."

Both of them reached to touch their hearts. And then their eyes widened. There in their hands, was a particular chain with a weird shaped pendant.

"What is this?!?" whispered Sakura.

"That, my dear is one half of a necklace. My necklace."

The voice was deep, mellow and strong like a father's. It kept Sakura from shrieking and running away because it reminded her of Fujitaka. And had a sense of Touya in it too. Syaoran on the other hand was very tense.

"Who's there? Show yourself!" He called, the echo bouncing onto the walls.

"Calm yourself boy, I mean no harm." A figure of considerable height, taller then even Touya stepped from a pillar.

Sakura's face was wreathed in puzzlement, for she had seen the figure's face before.

Syaoran however was trying to get up.

"Sit, I will not harm you. Or her. Relax."

Sakura wondered.

"Who are you?" she asked, as he drew closer.

"Lord Lyornes if you must know, Sakura."

(End of Flashback)

They had to go back to tell the others that at the end of this day, the both of them would leave Meili forever.

+---*---+

It had been glorious and terrifying to all that had seen the two phoenixes that day. They had burned with an immense light and unleashed their powers of fire on the opposition. It had made many secretly afraid and amazed at the same time.

Fiery was still flaming hot, and it would take a while until the battle rage went from his eyes. Scorch was the same, for after Syaoran had broken from the wraith's grip, he and Black Wolf were free. Both of the firebirds and the dragon had joined in the battle and there was many a spot on Meili that was charred with phoenix-fire.

"It's time."

Those two words broke their rages and brought them fully back to reality. They were in the dragon cavern and it was mind-speech that brought them back.

Ruffling their steaming feathers, the two phoenixes settled down, combing and cleaning the fluff off their chests.

+---*---+

The place was in an uproar. Sakura and Syaoran had come back and had been greeted with many different looks.

Some were joyful, glad that both were safe and finally home together, some were slightly stand-offish as it had seemed like Sakura had deserted them in the midst of battle and some were shocked, believing that the young male clan leader had died or been killed.

"Sakura! You're all right!!!!!" The familiar yell of happiness was heard.

Tomoyo ran from the crowd and had rushed to embrace her closest best friend. Eriol had followed too, nodding his head towards Syaoran and grinned as Sakura pulled him into a hug too.

But, after all had been done and everything had been said, the two had stood, hand in hand, smiling and looking sadly at the assembled company.

"We have to go."

A surprised gasp was heard and as the two gripped their hands together harder, knowing how hard it was to say this.

"Why?"

The mistaken voice of Touya was heard. Sakura tearfully turned to her older brother, thinking how she'd miss him.

"Because it's time."

Don't go... Chapter 15!

Author's Notes:
Hah! What a horrible cliffhanger! The tension is sooo strong! What do you think S+S will say? Review and the faster I'll post the ending up.
