Disclaimer:I don't own CCS, Clamp does. Don't sue! Um, this story has Silver Star and Fiery as substitutes for Yue and Kero. I never stole any ideas from the stories of Pern.

I'd like to thank all who reviewed. It would be nice if I have more reviews though Oh well, I might add that I might have one of my friends as a co-author. Anyway, I want to post a few ideas I have for new stories. I just thought you guys would inform me what you want to read.

Mystical Ying and Yang

Chapter 9: The Dawning of War

"Things will be done as you wish, master," uttered Sandra.

Suddenly, she fell, onto the rocky plateau, which acted as a platform. Arriving from Meili on dragon, she had Syaoran in tow. The two had arrived on dragons, Night Wolf and Ivy Creeper.

They had arrived in a barely known temple, on the rim of the border of Meili. The Temple Of Darkness, as it was known, was forbidden and forgotten for it had been built in the time of Lord Lyornes, and had grown with power. In fact it was that power that had destroyed his golden reign. Once again, after it had been partially destroyed in the war, it had mysteriously re-created itself over the years.

Now it had grown in power sucking from its occupants. Sandra was one occupant. Harbouring the darkness in her heart, too weak to fight for long, the darkness had shown itself at the festival. It had implanted itself into Syaoran also. But he had been fighting it for a while. Now, all of the energy from Sandra was sucked out, leaving her to die.

"Yes, master," said Syaoran, monotone while his eyes glazed over and became black. Pitch black. His eyes, showed a look like he had no soul, just an empty blackness.

Things were going to turn bad. Very soon.

"Report," commanded Sakura as she paced around the dining hall.

"Food is in," said Tomoyo, looking at her best friend's face closely.

If you looked closely on Sakura's face, you'd see shadows under the eyes, for she hadn't slept peacefully for days and a worried expression was forever seen on her pale face. Many could tell their young leader was working harder for the clans and that she was pushing herself to get everything ready for the darkness. In fact, her fellow companions often woke her up.

She hadn't let anyone know that the figure had been Syaoran. She partially thought it was her fault that Syaoran had gone to the darkness. She dearly missed him, but knowing that there was the risk of the clans at stake, she knew she had to fight him to help the clans to survive.

"How is Eriol, Ray and Marcus's progress?" asked Sakura, pausing at the table to grab a banana.

"They're fine, and are coming home." Replied Tomoyo, eyeing her friend cautiously.

"Very good."

As Sakura and Tomoyo started to leave, a messenger ran into the room and bowed to them both.

"Mistresses, news from Adenia, there has been an attack. It's starting to appear!" he panted, and you could tell he must have run all the way to let them know.

Sakura, upon hearing this news, immediately went towards her map, which was pinned on the wall. It was a map of Meili. Passing a bow of miniature flags, she grabbed it and took on out.

"Where was the attack? Exactly?" she asked, looking at Adenia's lands.

"Close to the border, near the dark forests, the first settlement." He replied.

Cursing out loud, Sakura grabbed a red flag and stuck it on the border. To her eyes, the map was a seeing tool, given to her father in times of need by a passing wizard in exchange for a guide to the Andean Mountains.

The map was unique. To anyone else, it looked like a normal map but to the owner, it showed the area the owner desired most to see. Sakura had looked upon a town, of darkness, where evil was lurking and slaves were being taking to the dark forests. Many queer and dangerous looking creatures walked there. Goblins archers, scouts, and warriors were the main population and it sickened Sakura to see how they ridiculed the sweet town, Gradium.

The only reason the town was so near to the dark forests was because of the Tao bird. The town was famous for it's feathers and it only lived in the dark forests. You see everything has a counter part. The Tao birds lived with their mortal enemy, the Lin. Unlike the Tao, which had emerald green plumage and silver eyes, its plumage was black and it's eyes oozed darkness. It wasn't a native. It had been a Tao bird once, but being mistreated, it's colour and mind had changed to serve the darkness. They were their spies.

Taos were famous for their healing properties. If anyone was sick in the mind or soul only the song of the Tao can revert him or her back. The feathers were precious by themselves. They could heal you if the were almost at death and losing blood quickly. But they were difficult to find among the green branches and one was considered really rich if they found a leftover nest of the Taos.

But now even the Taos healing properties couldn't save them as the Lin was slowly wiping them out.

As Sakura took her eyes from the map, she realised that the Tomoyo and the messenger had left her. Sinking into a chair, she sighed. Lately, she had been having the prophetical dream again and again. But now things were somehow clearer. The dream rolled on.

As the darkness pushed on, the light grew, spreading towards the darkness. Behind the light she could she masses of creatures marching forward, and a figure leading them. Peering closely, she saw the leader. She gasped.

The nightmare had ended. She was breathing hard as she moved towards the bathroom.

She had seen herself.

The war has started. Chapter 10

Author's Notes:
Is that all right? It was taking me a while to write this chapter. I sincerely apologise if Sakura is a bit out of character. Anyway, R+R!
