I am soo sorry for the long wait I've just lost my ideas for this chapter. In fact, for all of my stories. But thanks to all who reviewed especially all my good friends.

Supreet for all your reviews and how you reckon I'm a good writer. But I have to say you're wrong. Chris for reading along and being the only guy that read my story that I know. Mary, for like Sakura and Syaoran and having fun when we argue about who should be for Alanna and Kel. And last but not least, one of my best friends Jas, for being the first to know, agonising over Syaoran with me and having our weird chats bout Xiao Lang.

It means a lot to me that you all think that my stories are interesting enough to read.

Sung From The Heart

Chapter 17: Goodbye Beloved...

"I have to say okay," he smiled, a bit bittersweet at his choice for his only daughter.

He was met by a gigantic hug from her, her soft auburn hair, just like her mother's, falling everywhere.

Touya instead was looking out of place, trying to have one specific emotion, in its place anger, hatred and sorrow was seen.

(And here we leave them for the time being)

The last week of the month

Daydreaming at the desk, a vacant stare in her eyes, is seen on Sakura's face as she sits on Syaoran's lap, while the two of them listen to their friends chatter in their last session, a free period.

"Really!!! I didn't know!!"

"Oh no!!!"

"Yes!!!"

"Mmmmmm"

Tomoyo, Chiharu and Rika were gossiping while the ever-lying Yamazaki was licking his lips as her opened his chocolate bar. Just as he was about to take a bite

He bit into air, as a grinning Syaoran chuckled at the pleased Chiharu who had the elusive chocolate in her mouth.

"Sakura Kinomoto!"

Sakura's head shot up, as Sensei was looking at her with a worried look. Next to her was one of the 5th years carrying a note.

She hopped from Syaoran's lap, had a quick discussion with Sensei and rushed out of the room.

Syaoran shared a worried look with Tomoyo, as they followed her out of the room as soon as they had Sensei's permission.

"Sakura!!" Syaoran called, as he saw her fleeting figure down the corridor, but she didn't stop, she ran out of the school and as Tomoyo and Syaoran grabbed their things, Syaoran sprinted after her.

He grabbed her, holding her still while she struggled to get free.

"Tou-san! Let me go!!!" she cried, bitterly as she thrashed feebly while Syaoran held her tighter.

"What's wrong? Sakura!!" he tried to talk to her but she kept crying.

Tomoyo caught up to them, worry pasted all over her face.

She clutched at Sakura's arms, stopping her from hitting Syaoran who was really concerned at her behaviour. Lifting up Sakura's pale and damp face, she started to shake her.

"Sakura! Tell us what is wrong!!!"

At last, the sobs and the struggling slowed and stopped.

She stared at Syaoran's school shirt, for once her voice harsh, as she chocked out the news.

"Otou-san he's.. he's been.. hit by a car I have to got see him!"

Clutching Syaoran's long sleeved arms, she looked up at him. He gasped inwardly. Her eyes had lost some of her shine, making her look utterly lost and broken.

"Come on. Well's go in my car." He said, his warm amber eyes calming her down, telling her that she wasn't alone in her grief.

"Well. Let's get going!" said Tomoyo, tugging them towards the car park.

All three practically ran to his car, got in and started towards the hospital.

As they reached the Royal Tushikmata Hospital, Syaoran dropped Tomoyo and Sakura first while he went to park his car.

Tomoyo and Sakura rushed in, Sakura ran up to the nurse at the front.

"Please, can you tell me if my Otou-san is alright?" she said, almost ready to start crying again.

"Well, who is he?" asked the nurse, pitying the young girl in front of her.

"Kinomoto Fujitaka." Was the answer.

"He's in the emergency surgery room. Straight down the hall, up two stories and the first door down." Said the nurse, watching Sakura and Tomoyo run through the hall.

"Where did they go?!?"

Asked a puffed out Syaoran, who straightened up and thanked the very alarmed nurse when she told him the directions. She definitely didn't have this happen to her everyday.

As Syaoran ran down the hall, up the lift, and barged in the first door on the right, he stopped to see a sight. Sakura was practically shouting at a doctor who was saying she couldn't go see Fujitaka while Tomoyo was walking up and down; biting her nails, for Kinomoto-san was like a father to her.

"Miss! Please Miss! We are doing all we can for your father! Please wait, you can do nothing!" cried the frustrated doctor who trying to get the message across to Sakura. Finally, Sakura relented, and slumped into a nearby chair, vastly worried as she kept her eyes on the door, which was blocking her from Fujitaka. The doctor quickly entered the emergency room, going back to help.

Syaoran stride towards her, concern flickering in his tiger-eye orbs. He sat next to her, tugging her arm so that it pulled her into his comforting embrace. Sighing, he played with her soft hair as she buried her face in his strong chest. Tomoyo sat down too, her face in her hands and worry and stress got the best of her.

Sobs were starting from Sakura again, and Syaoran felt his shirt starting to get damp. He held onto his broken tenshi, letting her draw strength from him.

1 hour later

After an age, or so it seemed to Sakura and company, a doctor came out.

"Kinomoto-san will be alright now, he just needs lots and lots of rest and he cannot be allowed out of bed for a month. You can now see him."

With a cry, Sakura bounded up, followed by Syaoran and Tomoyo as they walked into to see the closely unconscious Kinomoto elder.

Sakura, seeing him wrapped in bandages, a huge one at his chest and one on his left leg and a tube running up into his nose, made her worry all the more.

"Sakura? Is that you?" called the eldest Kinomoto from where he was, almost smothered in white hospital sheets.

"Yes, Tou-san it's me," said the Cherry Blossom, whispering while she held his warm hand which had a little instrument fixed on his pointer finger. That instrument's cord ran up to a machine that recorded his blood flow. Syaoran, who was looking at the machines, smiled thinly.

As Fujitaka moved a bit, he moaned in pain as a particular sharp movement caught him. As everyone in the room seemed to move to help him, he held up his hand and motioned them to sit down.

"I'm fine, I just need some rest."

"No, Tou-san, You're not fine I have to stay with you to take care of you. I won't go to Hong Kong," she cried, looking up at Syaoran, who smiled sadly and nodded.

"I agree, Sakura should stay here to take care of you, Kinomoto-san."

"But! Your trip You can't!" protested the kind Kinomoto father.

"I have chosen Tou-san. I want you to get better. And I want to make sure it's done well. So I'm staying," hushed Sakura, stroking his hand.

He winced again as he tried to protest. He knew that she wanted to go with her Chinese boyfriend to Hong Kong. But she was stubborn. Just like his Nadeshiko.

"Otou-san. Go to sleep, I'm here now," said Sakura, smiling softly as her father's eyes fluttered.

"Fine, but this isn't the end of the argument"

Author's Notes:
OHHHH!!! So Sakura isn't going. Hahahahaha!!! How in the world is she going to go with Syaoran to Hong Kong? This will not look good on the Elders if he doesn't arrive with her.
