Setting: The Sidewalk and Jon's House
(Nick is sitting on his knees in the middle of the sidewalk looking towards the sky. A single sheet of paper lies next to him. He looks as if hes about to cry.)
Chris- Nick, what's wrong?
(Nick ignores him. Chris picks up the letter and reads it. A mixed look of shock and horror spread across his face. He looks at Nick then reads the letter again)
Chris- Oh my god....Is this...For....real?...
(Nick sighs, unable to speak)
Chris- No...this isnt right, this kinda thing doesnt happen anymore. We better go ask Jon about this.
(The two walk back to Jon' house in complete silence. They walk in and find Jon building something on the workbench. When he hears them he quickly grabs a white sheet and covers what he was working on.)
Jon- Heh heh...Hey, uh, guys...
Chris- Jon, we have a big problem...
Jon- Can it wait, im kinda busy
Chris- No, this is urgent!
(Chris holds out the letter. Jon frowns, but takes it.)
Jon- What's wrong with him?
(He points over to Nick who still looks like hes suspended in another world.)
Chris- Read the letter...
