The Translators
King James I actually meantioned 54 translators, but we have the names of only 47.  Both "High Church" and Puritans participated in the translation.

The following are the names of the translators of the Old Testiment.  The names may seem of little importance to some, but I hope they will be of help to anyone seaking information for in-depth research.

The translators were grouped into the following six companies:
Westminster: the Pentateuch (Genesis - Deuteronomy) and Joshua - II Kings
Lancelot Andrews
John Overall
Adrian de Saravia
Richard Clarke
John Layfield
Dr. Teigh
Francis Burleigh
Geoffrey King
Richard Thompson
William Bedwell
Cambride: I Chronicles - Ecclesiastes
Edward Lively
John Richardson
Laurence Chaderton
Francis Dillingham
Thomas Harrison
Roger Andrewes
Robert Spalding
Andrew Byng
Oxford: Isaiah - Malachi
John Harding
John Rainolds
Thomas Holland
Rishard Kilbye
Miles Smith
Richard Brett
Mr. Fairclough
Cambridge: the Apocrypha

Oxford: Matthew - Acts, and the Apocalypse (Revelation)

Westminster: Romans - Jude
All of the direct information about the translators was found in David Daiches' book The King James Version of the English Bible.  This book was extremely informational and I would recommend it to anyone studying this topic.
