DEPARTMENT OF LIBRARY AND INFORMATION SCIENCE          

          The Department of Library and Information Science was started in 1983, to train and develop hardcore library science professionals to meet the future challenges in the Field. 

           LISA (Library and Information Science Association) & AALIS (Alumni Association of Library and Information Science) of Bishop Heber College have jointly conducted many successful events like two State Level Seminars and One National Conference (LIST 2002) and Two Student Meet (INFO 2001 and INFO 2002).

Ti             Tiruchirappalli, situated in Central Tamil Nadu on the banks of River Cauvery. It is the  fourth largest city in the state and is 320 km from Chennai. Tiruchirappalli is a city of Historical importance and a centre for pilgrimage and education.
