Scores of local dairy farmers 'took to the streets'
with trucks, vans, tankers and cows in Lismore on Tuesday, October
10, in-protest against Woolworths decision to heavily discount its
Homebrand milk line (non-local milk).
The dairy farmers claimed they could 'go
under' along with the struggling Norco dairy products company and
its 200+ employees.
In Lismore, an 8,000-name petition was handed to the Woolworths manager.
Protests were also held in other areas of Australia.
