Kay - Young Shooters part 9 ~JEFF'S POV~
I yawn and stretch as the first rays of sunlight peers through the bedroom window. I'm so sleepy that it's hard to keep my eyes open, much less focus.
I look over at my brother's bed and find that it is already neatly made. A smile slides across my face. He's always up before dawn and is probably finished with most of his chores.
I have to force myself to get out of bed, shivering as the coolness of the room blankets my body. I'm almost tempted to dive back under the warm covers.
I walk over to the window and peek out. Matt is already chopping wood for the winter, damn he's always prepared for anything. Just once I would like to catch him off guard.
I lick my lips hungrily as I watch the muscles in his arms and back ripple as he brings the ax down splitting the wood in half.
Grinning, I quickly find and pull on my clothes as I silently creep out the back door.
I slowly stalk up behind him, brushing my long blond hair from around my face as I get closer.
He pauses and I pause. I hold my breath, afraid that he'll turn around. I'm relieved as he drinks some water from a mug he has brought out.
As I reach out to scare him, he whirls around, pulling me into his strong arms, pressing his lips to mine.
I yelp in mock protest, but quickly silence as I return his kiss passionately.
He chuckles as he releases me. "It's about time you woke up," he whispers as he pats my ass. "You chores are still waiting on you."
~MATT'S POV~
As I look at my baby brother, I don't think I've ever seen anyone more beautiful.
Yeah, I'm aware that it's a sin for two brothers to love each other the way we do, but it just sorta happened.
After our parents died, we were all alone. We depended on each other for everything, and our brotherly love changed into a more deeper love.
We stay out of town as much as possible. People in town think we're weird, especially Jeff because of the way he dresses and wears his hair.
Hell, the only person we remotely like is Lita.
The thought of Lita brings a smile to my face. I have to admit she's very beautiful, but pales in comparison to Jeff.
She buys all her produce and meat from us, and I know it's to get in my good graces. She wants me, but I belong to another.
I watch Jeff skip off to the barn. Heaven help the cows and chickens.
I smile as I resume chopping wood. I wouldn't change anything about our lives. I'm afraid Lita will be waiting a very long, long time.
I grin as I hear a loud commotion from the barn.
~AUSTIN'S POV~
As I sit and stare down at the main street of Prosperity, a smile slides across my face. By now Hunter has gotten rid of the good Sheriff for me, which leaves only the beautiful blond deputy all by his lonesome. I lick my lips hungrily. Images of him and Jason together fills my mind, making my cock rock hard.
"Ready?" Rob asks.
Damn! He has bad timing.
I nod and motion for my men to slowly descend upon the town.
Today was going to be a day of reckoning for the people of Prosperity. I was going to burn this city to the ground, but not before having a little fun with the residents first.
~MARK'S POV~
I jump as a hand grips my shoulder, but quickly dismiss it as being Kurt. Hell, I hadn't even heard the saloon doors swing open.
"Forget something?" I ask.
No response.
I turn and almost fall out of my chair. Adam senses my distress and he immediately draws his gun only to have it knocked out of his hands by a small, dark-haired man.
Instinct takes over and I immediately pull Adam behind me, shielding him.
"Glenn?" I manage to choke out.
"Yes, it's me big brother," Glenn quickly replies.
"Mark?" Adam whispers from behind me.
I'm relieved to see Glenn smile as he looks at Adam.
"Yours?" He asks grinning, and I'm surprised as he winks at me.
I look at the small, dark-haired man. "Yours?"
Glenn nods and grins as he plays an arm around Sean's shoulders. "This is Sean."
I allow Adam to stand beside of me. "This is Adam."
We smile at each other. Brother to brother. Both Adam and Sean are surprised as we embrace each other.
"ADAM!" Kurt yelled as he ran into the saloon.
"Kurt?" Adam quickly takes his gun back from Sean.
"The Alliance is on it's way," Kurt gasped between ragged breaths.
I growl as I walk to Adam's side and wrap a protective arm around his shoulder, not caring who saw me. "What's it got to do with him?"
Kurt looks at me dumbfounded. "He's my deputy! Mark, I need every man I can get to stand against them or this town doesn't stand a chance."
"He's right Mark," Adam whispers as he kisses me on my cheek and quickly follows Kurt.
Damn! I know I can't stop him, but all I want to do is get the hell outta this town.
"I'll stand with you," Glenn growled.
"Me, too," Sean said smiling up at Glenn.
"You can count on me Sunshine," Regal said pulling his rifle from behind the counter.
"Me fight!" Tajiri said standing proudly.
Torri gasped, but knew she couldn't stop her beloved.
"Well hell, let's go welcome the Alliance to Prosperity," I say growling.
Once outside we are surprised to see most of the townfolk in the middle of street with their weapons. I immediately make my way to Adam, becoming his shadow protector.
I smile at Lita, who winks back. "You haven't seen Matt and Jeff Hardy have ya?"
I shake my head. "Haven't you given up on those boys?"
She smiles sweetly, but I know nothing about Lita is sweet. She'll get them eventually.
"Give up? Hell, I've just begun."
I shake my head. The girl has it bad for those boys.
We all watch silently as the sounds of hooves and a large cloud of dust announce their arrival.
~AUSTIN'S POV~
I pause at the entrance to the town. Well, I'll be damned. Looks like the whole town turned out. Well at least I won't have to track their sorry asses down to kill them.
I grip the reins of Rattlesnake tightly as I see the good Sheriff leading them. Damn! Hunter better have a good reason for failing me. His very life depends on it.
Do they know who they are dealing with?
"Remember, I want the deputy alive. You can do whatever you want with the rest," I growl.
I motion for everyone to follow me in.
~ROB'S POV~
Damn Austin!
Why does he need the deputy?
He's got me!
I don't care what he says, the tall blond deputy dies first.
I can handle sharing with Jason, but not another.
~JASON'S POV~
I wipe away my tears as I sit and think about how miserable my life is.
"Jason?" Bradshaw whispers as he enters my tent.
I turn, trying to hide my newest set of bruises, but he notices and tilts my head back.
"Damn him," he growls. "Are you alright?"
I laugh as I push him away from me.
"Am I alright?" I ask angrily. "NO! I'm not alright. I belong to a man who rapes and tortures me for his sick pleasure, and then I'm having these annoying nightmares."
"Nightmares?" Bradshaw asks concerned.
"I dream about two kids, Adam and Christian."
"Christian?" He asks, his face suddenly going pale.
"You know him?" I ask hopefully.
He looks up at me and I see tears in his eyes. "Jason there's something I need to tell you. Hell, I should've told you a long time ago, but I was scared of Austin."
"What?" I ask anxiously.
"Your name isn't Jason, it's Christian. Austin stole you when you were around eight years old. He almost had your brother, Adam, but he managed to escape that night."
"Adam," I whimper. I had a brother. I sighed in relief, I wasn't going crazy.
"Something else Jason," he says with his head lowered.
"What?"
"I was there. I was the one who chased you and your brother. I'm the one who carried you kicking and screaming back to Austin," he whispers, his voice breaking as he fights to control the sob that threatens to escape his throat.
Memories of that night come rushing back to me. My mother. Adam's father. The fire. Adam screaming for me to run. Me screaming for Adam to save me.
Bradshaw tries to pull me to him, but I push him away. "Christian, I'm so sorry. I was young and stupid."
"Don't touch me!!" I growl.
"Christian," he whispers, "I can help you."
"You killed my family!" I accuse him.
"I didn't Austin did! He pulled the trigger!"
"But you were there! You could've stopped him!"
He shook his head as he started to sob. "No one can stop Austin."
"What about Adam?" I ask angrily.
"He's the deputy in Prosperity. He's the one Austin wants to lay with. I don't think he realizes that he is your brother."
Bradshaw's words cut through my very soul. Austin wanted Adam? My brother? NEVER!
"I'm so sorry Christian," Bradshaw sobs.
"Prove it. Take me to my brother," I growl. I won't let Austin hurt my brother like he has me.
Bradshaw stands and smiles down at me. "I'd die for you Christian. If you give me a second chance, I'll prove my love for you is true."
I blush at his words. Maybe the big guy doesn't mean me any harm, but it'll be awhile before I trust another man.
~BRADSHAW'S POV~
I see the blush that spreads across his face at my declaration of love, but I mean every word of it. He's giving me a second chance and I don't plan to waste it.
I'll kill Austin with my bare hands if I have to.
It's beyond me how one man can cause so much misery, but his reign of terror is about to end.
"Come on beautiful," I say grabbing his hand and pulling him up effortlessly.
He smiles at me and my heart melts. I'm his forever.
~RAVEN'S POV~
I watch the white men as they prepare to battle. No wonder I have denounced the white in me and become one with my red brothers. Such senseless acts of violence makes me sick. Sure we fight, mainly for food or territory, but never for greed.
I have found an inner peace within and I have no intentions of ever rejoining the white man's world.
I push my braids away from my face. With my red hair, I'm surprised that the Chief gave me the Indian name Raven. Something about my soul being troubled and dark.
I smile as I sit atop my horse and watch the show below me. I notice one man that really appeals to me. Damn, he's as big as a buffalo. Jolts of desire surge throughout my body. |
