Algebra Supplies

Personal supply list:

Go to your local Broward County public library and get:
(1)  a Broward County public library card

Then, check out
(2) a book for use during Sustained Silent Reading.

Once you have computer access, obtain:
(3) a personal email address to communicate with your teachers and other students
(4) a disposable email address to enter into websites that require an email address for access

Also, you will want to think of:
(5) an appropriate username for my blog site

Go to your local department store or office supply store and purchase:
(6) a clear, school supply pouch
(7) a ruler 
(8) a set of (at least) 4 colored markers
(9) a calculator - it must have both a square root  and change sign key
(10) a package of pencils
(11) an eraser
(12) a personal sharpener 
(13) a three ring binder (1 inch thick).  If you will use it for other classes as well, you may buy a bigger size.
(14) a package of wide ruled filler paper (some people call it loose leaf)
(15) a book bag
(16) a bilingual dictionary (LEP students only)
(17) a French curve (optional - used during the fourth quarter to draw parabolas)   

Go to your local technology store and purchase:
(18) ear buds or headphones for listening to math tutorials (do NOT have out your mp3 player or cell phone)
(19) USB flash drive (optional but recommended)

The school will give you (20) an agenda. Keep it in your book bag and write down your assignments.

Classroom supply list:

If you would like to earn extra credit, you may purchase the following items and bring them to the instructor for the class to use.  

  1. a new package of dry erase markers
  2. a new package of wet erase markers (most common brand name is Vis-a-Vis)
