APPEARANCE: Ursula is about 5'4" and 118 lbs. She has raggedy long brown hair and black eyes, and her eyes are always shifting around. She doesn't have a nervous look to her...it seems more like she's trying to take in everything around her, and she seems to notice every tiny little thing. She wear various-colored robes-- usually something earth-toned, and a bit torn and frayed around the edges for everyday-use, but she has nice, crisp robes for special occasions.

ROLE-PLAYING: Ursula honestly believes that she's a high priestess of the Goddess, and she hears a female voice in her head that she KNOWS is the Goddess...and the Goddess speaks to her, instructing her on what to do and how to run things. She will often pause a conversation to ask "the Goddess" what She thinks, wait for the answer, and then continue with the conversation. Her dedicated followers think that she's divinely inspired, but an outsider might not be completely unwise to think she could possibly have a few screws loose...
Being the high priestess of the village, Ursula is in charge of making sure that the yearly holy rites are observed properly as they were in primitive times...which has made them more of bloody sacrificial rites at times than celebrations of fertility and crops. She and her priestesses' favorite holiday is Baccinal Orgy. Not all of this rite is known to the village-- the villagers only know that once a year those men condemned to death are taken away by the priestesses and never seen again. The priestesses come back quite rejuvenated, yet sleep for a good 24 hours afterwards.

HISTORY: Ursula was born in the same village where she serves as High Priestess now. The vampire-clan Lhiannon has always had a strong hold in this town, and have a tradition that goes back for many generations. The Lhiannon who serves as High Priestess will make ghouls of the most important villagers and high-level priestesses, eventually Embracing the priestess who shows the most promise and teaching her everything she knows. When sufficient time has passed that the villagers will start growing suspicious of the never-aging High Priestess, she will fake her own death, and her Childe will take her place. The ex-High Priestess will then move on to a distant village where Paganism is dwindling and rekindle it, starting over as High Priestess there, and on and on.
So Ursula was once the chosen priestess of her Sire, and then High Priestess, herself. Sometimes she wonders about where her Sire is or how the work is going for her, but mostly she only concerns herself with the running of her own village and priestesses. However, her time is grower near to abdicate to her Childe Lelaine, as Ursula has been High Priestess for nearly 20 years now. She's excited to move on to a new area-- particularly one that's festering with that blasted Cult of Christ so she can erradicate it, herself!
