I am a 40-something Catholic, transgendered woman from the San Francisco Bay Area, who finally blossomed into a very contented person a few years ago. I feel truly blessed to be be able to experience life from both the male and female perspective.. I am very happily and faithfully married to a wonderful woman who knows about Lisah. I enjoy going out dressed most anywhere - shopping, dining, dancing and just doing normal everyday girl things. For true excitement, I love performing in fund raising benefit shows. I also enjoy working with crossdressers and other transgendered women who are seeking the confidence to be who they truly are. Why does Lisah exist? I truly wish I knew. All I can tell you is that this isn't just some hobby of mine, nor is it some kind of perversion - Lisah is a very real, very central part of me that needs expression, just like we all do.
Why 'Aubergine'? In March 2004, I was fortunate enough to be named the "Aubergine Crown Countess to the 34th Reign of the San Jose IRLM Court". (Ok - actually I 'stole' the crown, but that's another story) Aubergine is the European term for 'Eggplant', and was my color in the San Jose Rainbow Court. Anyway, I liked the sound of the word, and the rest, as they say, is history.
What's up with 'Maximizing Lisah Time'? "Maximizing Lisah Time" is a phrase I coined a while back. It represents my strategy of spending as much time as possible as Lisah, whenever the opportunity presents itself. After all, my boy-self has had somewhat exclusive occupancy of my body for the majority of my life. As someone who is truly two people peacefully sharing the same body, it's only fair that Lisah gets her time in the sun.
Why the 'h' in 'Lisah'? Legend 1: Lisah can't spell to save her life. Legend 2: Before she adopted the name Aubergine, her surname begin with an 'H'. "Lisa H." became "Lisah" Legend 3: 'Lisah' is short for "Lisa - ahhhhhhhhh", which sums up how Lisah feels when in girl-mode. Legend 4: Lisah stole the 'H' from Sara's name (Research is continuing - Stay tuned for more theories)
