About Lisah's Performances
I've always loved music. Back in January 2004, at an I Love It Social, I did an impromptu performance for the girls that evening, and it just began to snowball from there.
A few months later, I joined the San Jose IRLM Court, which is the local chapter of the Imperial Court System - a volunteer group that raises money for local GLBT charities. One of the ways the Court system raises money is by doing benefit shows at local bars and clubs. This is still my primary performance venue. I enjoy singing (vs. lip-synching), though if I can't get a Karaoke version, I delighted to sing over the vocal track.
Am I any good? Well, I can't judge myself. However my boy-self gives me the following grades...
Singing voice: B
Dancing: C+
Smile/Attitude: A+
Costumes/Props: A+ (Thanks to Jo-An, Costume Mistress extraordinaire !!!!!!!!!!!!)
The bottom line is that I do it because I enjoy it, not because I think I'll ever be able to quit my day job. It gives me the chance the express my femininity in a public context, using words, music and costumes. I'm truly fortunate to have the opportunity.

| March 2004 | I joined the 34th Reign of the San Jose IRLM Court and was granted the title of "The Aubergine Crown Countess". |
| January 2005 | I was honored to be asked by TGSF to perform some filler numbers during the Miss TGSF 2005 Cotillion Ball at the Cowell Center in San Francisco. They was FAR from my best performances, but it was a thrill nonetheless. |
| May 2005 | I joined the 14th Alameda Ducal Court and was granted the title of "Queen of The Desert" |
| June 2005 | I was invited to be a guest performer with the Fauxgirls, who perform twice a month at Marlena's in San Francisco. What a thrill to be able to share the stage with real professionals! I did a return performance on August 27th! |
| October 2005 | I was asked to appear as a guest performer with Queen's Undercover, a drag cabaret revue group that performs in the South Bay Area. For the record, I want to state here and now that my performance the that fact they they are no longer active are totally unrelated. |
| April 2006 | I joined the 36th Reign of the San Jose IRLM Court and was granted the title of "Grand Marquessa". |
| October 2006 | I am crowned Closet Ball King 2006 of Modesto. |
| March 2007 | After a wonderful year of events and fundraising, I was named "Court Member of the Year" by our Emperor. |
| January 2008 | I was one of two non-contestants given the chance to perform at the 2008 TGSF Cotillion in San Francisco. A really cool event, and a great opportunity to perform for a large group of people. |
