| How gradual was the cast bonding in the show? Not very gradual at all. Your castmates say that you are nothing like Phoebe in real life? I'm actually more Jappy, and Jennifer Aniston is a lot more spiritually orientated . Every time we talk, I think she would be a great Phoebe. They wouldnt let me read for Rachel. So what do you think is the secret of the shows success? It's six people with a good sense of humour about things, and thats always fun.I know thats what I liked about Cheers and the Mary Tyler Moore show. Everyone on the show says something that your thinking, "thats what I would say in the situation," except that they put it alot better than you would because they've had nine writers working on it for a few weeks. So who do you think is watching Friends ? It's amazing who relates to this show. In New York City I met some very strange and ultra frightenening people who were pierced all over their bodies, and they told me, "you guys are just like our friends. We think Ross is Really cute." Have you ever been temted to play the Friends drinking games? No, I could never drink that much. When did you know the show was a phenomenon? When I started hearong about drinking games on the internet. They have all these rules like start drinking if Chandler says something funny. And if Barry shows up drink everything! How has the cast avoided ego problems? We keep one another in check . If I threw a tantrum, I know Matthew Perry would be the first one to mock me. So do you see Phoebe as the original riot girl? I do. I see an album, tours. I think she's really got something So what was the biggest fight on the set about ? Well, one time there was a row. We were all playing poker and someone wanted to take a cool "Speed Racer" picture down from the wall in the poker room and put it in their dressing room. That's as tense as it's gotten. |
