| When you first heard about the show did you think it might be a little contrived? Yes, The comedy is absolutely better than the situation. I think the charecters make it interesting, not their situations. You and the other girls on the show seem to get along so well is there anything we dont see? Sorry, but no. It's so rare you get to work with women whom you get along with so well. You know how girls can be. Everybody gets bent sometime, but eveyone else gives them their space. I wish I could give you some dirt but there isnt any ....... So how different are you from Monica? Monica's a little more compulsive than I am , Although I am a pretty compulsive person too, She's a little more patient than I am. Having all those people hanging around my apartment so much might bug me a little. Whats the worst thing about playing the part of Monica? When I first read the pilot I though she was a little more naive than I am. That guy with the come on line about being impotent, I would never have bought that one.However I believe it actually happened to one of the writers ..... Do you feel as though Monica and yourself have grown more alike? Uh Huh. We're both developing at the same time. What do you think make the show work so well? What's so great about this show is that there is six lead characters, and they're all interesting. You cant really get bored watching Friends as far as im concerned. There are so many of us that you get just a little taste of everything. Theres no time for you to burn out. Who is the one that is most different from the character they play? Definitely Lisa Kudrow So do you think Friends has a message ? No, but I think we deal with reality. The issues we cover are real. And the language we use is pretty real too. There have been a couple of times when I read the script and thought, "Can we say that on Tv?" We've said the word " penis."When was the last time you heard that on Tv ? Have you ever heard from anyone who has been shocked by anything on the show? I have friends back in Alabama who were kind of shocked at the Ross situation with his wife leaving him for a lesbian lover . I told them , " are you nuts? youre neighbours are probably going through the exact same thing". |
