Baked Almond Toast

2 eggs, separated
2 tablespoons skim milk
2 teaspoons vanilla
1/2 teaspoon almond extract
1 tablespoon sugar
2 slices whole-wheat bread

Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
In a 4-inch by 8-inch nonstick baking pan or loaf pan,
combine egg yolks, milk, 1 teaspoon vanilla,
1/4 teaspoon almond extract, and 1-1/2 teaspoons sugar.
Lay bread on top of mixture; turn over to absorb all liquid.
Beat egg whites until stiff.
Beat in remaining vanilla, almond extract, and sugar.
Spread over bread. Bake 10 to 15 minutes, until brown
