DATE: Summer 2000

DESCRIPTION: I did this strip the first day I came home from Brown after taking my class at RISD. The art is rushed but I think it works well. This is an example of what I can create if I record what I am thinking at the moment rather than ruminating on how I can present my anecdote.

MATERIALS: 8.5 x 11 typing paper and a Bic ballpoint

DATE: Spring 2000

DESCRIPTION: This strip was my first attempt to illustrate closterphobia using this simple and as of yet unnamed character. It has always been one of my worst fears to crawl into a narrow tube, finding the end of it and not being able to back out again.

MATERIALS: 8.5 x 11 typing paper, 0.5 sable brush, and india ink.
