The Rex Hotel
The Cathedral by night.
The Bongsen Hotel
The regular pub for my stay there. It is called The O'Briens Factory
One of my favourites. A very well preserved heritage building.
Shopping by night
Another of the many shopping centers
When the night settles in, and the temperature gets cooler, the city dwellers get on their motorcycles and fill the streets. I found watching the cross junctions most amazing. A continuous flow of motorcyclist approaching each other at 90 degrees. Without stopping they mesh together and emerge on the other side continuing their intended direction with no incident other than pressing the horns which is the norm. Fantastic.
Meshing together. I guess there is only one rule. Do not touch.
Family of four on a bike.
After a night out, my friend Jimmy and I having supper at a road side stall. Note, the kindy tables and the baby stools. Don't ask me why. Thats just the way it is.
