LiQuiD
Liquid so far is a band put together by three youngsters in order to bring down society with their mind controlling lyrics and hypnic rhythm. They aren't afraid to say how they feel about anything. If they have a problem with you, you'll hear about it. Most people say that their lyrics are depressing and suicidal like, but, that is not the point at all. They put how they feel about certain subjects down on paper and the way it comes out to you may be one thing. But to Liquid, they're just raw emotion.
The History Behind LiQuiD
Everyone in the band Liquid had wanted to be in a band for a very long time. Scott, however, actually created the band Liquid. Scott one day was fed up of being a wanna' be. So he took Josh Norton aside and didn't ask for him to be in the band, he told him, "Josh, you're in my band...Okay?". Josh had no intention of disagreeing. They were the first members a no name band. The next day Scott and Josh discussed who should be the bassist and the drummer. For bass, they didn't know anyone. Drums were a different story. A lot of people played drums, but the problem was, all of them were in bands already. Scott and Josh did however find a drummer, Steve Streisguth. The band now had three members. At lunch one day, the three members of that no name band were discussing what to do about the bassist, when Matt over hear and told that he played bass...Their problems were solved...No Name had been formed.
How we came to be called "Liquid"...and what happened?
After the band formed, Matt, Josh, Steve, and Scott thought day and night about names...Everything from Nothing to well...let's just say every word and group of words were tried.
About two weeks into the creation of the band, Scott was surfing the internet and over came a banner at the top of a page he was on. It was for a video game site called "Liquid Ice". Scott immediately IMed Josh and exclaimed, "What about Liquid Ice?!?!?!". Josh replied by saying that was cool. So he then went to Steve and Matt about the name, asking the same question...They both thought about it, then replied saying that it sounded too much "Vanilla Ice"...A band that we do not want to be like at all...So Scott offered the name "Liquid". Which they both agreed to. Though we were called Liquid, Matt and Steve still tried different names, but Scott rejected all of them, he was stuck on Liquid.
The band was doing okay. Matt and Scott were thinking of a ton of new songs while Josh and Steve worked on their musical skills. No one really put together a full band practice...Liquid always seemed to only talk about the new songs over the internet. Matt would once in a while go over to Scott's to skateboard and they would talk about the band, but not too seriously. Eveything was fine, untill Josh gave us the news that he had to move. This was bad...Real bad. One of the first members had to move. This ment he would have to be kicked out...Matt, Scott, and Steve knew that they wouldn't disown him, kick him out...But they realized that things would be a lot harder. So, the day came, Josh moved. It wasn't as hard as we thought it would be. It was just like him being here.
A week or so after Josh's departure...The band had to kick Steve out due to personal reasons (if you want to know why..e-mail us)...So now Liquid was a mess...No contact from Josh, no drummer...Matt and Scott were the only remaining members. One day, though, Scott recieved a phone call from Josh. He was good. Scott later invited Josh over his house for a week and the band got together finally and had their first practice.
Things are now good with Liquid. Everyone's learning how to play their instruments and are getting better, and most of the songs are all written out. Things are good.
To make things better, LiQuiD got a drummer, Brett Mandrackie. On saturday, August 4th, Scott just flat out told Brett, "Brett, your in my band". Brett of course did not reject this..."offer"...Well, Brett's still gotta learn his instrument, the drums, but now that LiQuiD is a complete band...Things will go much better. |
