| Korean Weddings are an interesting affair. This wedding was at the Imperial Wedding Hall. This hall had at least 3 floors. Each floor had 2 ceremony rooms. We were in the Diamond Hall for our wedding. The ceremony takes about 30 mins. I still don't know what is said... lol. But lots of nodding and clapping. These Wedding Halls are booked in blocks for the entire day. There was a wedding before ours and another after. On another floor of the Hall is the Buffet floor. When you arrive for the wedding, you are given a buffet ticket. The buffet is continually freshed for the entire day and EVERY wedding booked at the hall that day uses it. We have been to numerous weddings, and the bride and groom have only joined us at the buffet once. Usually you can eat before the wedding while you are waiting. The buffets are HUGE... they have every food imaginable. The mothers of the people in the weddings wear tradition Korean clothes called Han Boks. Check out the Photo section to try to see what that looks like. Well... I hope this paints a picture for you. Definately different. ^_^ |
