Lior's CJ5 Rebuild Project
Home
After taking of the grill and fenders, the radiator, the driver's chair and all extra accesories that hanged on the jeep, we had to prepare a facility for holding the body.

We've decided to build a "Shawarma-Jeep" - which is just like a turkey-shawarma but bigger. The body is attached to a 1
1/4 sol pipe that enables us to rotate the body in order to repair it.  We figured that instead of painting the body in a stove, we could bring huge grillers and paint it in our back yard... ;-)
in the following pictures you can see the "Shawarma-Jeep" and the body on it (before harnessing it to the pipe), and you can see the jeep after taking off the body. The bottom right picture was taken at the garage we improvised....

Afterwards, we've built a bridge to pull out the engine using a 1 ton winch.
(photos yet to come...)

All is left is removing the suspensions, the axles and all the tubes that goes around the jeep, and voila - there you have a striped chassis, just waiting for abusion.
