Lions Club Of Hastings
Lions Memorial Rose Arbor Project
Project was started last year and it is getting to be quite a unque rest full area at our Lions village Licola.

Lions Village Licola is a camp for those in need and for community groups.  It is set in an old sawmilling town about 260km from Melbourne.

This memorial rose arbor project came to be due to one of our leading Lions.  She noted that each year at the convention of Lions Clubs there would be a reading of name of those Lions in passing.  But there wasn't aplace where one could see who these dear fellow Lions were.  So it was put to our club that we would remember those who have served and that's the story.

This Memorial is open to all Lions Clubs in Victoria Austalia and those families of Lions,Leos and Lionness Clubs as well.  It is hoped that all Lions Clubs will buy a rose and a memorial for those member that have passed on.  For only $55.00 Aust, not a lot of money but it's money from the heart for the ones who are still here.

We hope that you all can come and visit our Lions Village and see what a beautifull assett we Lions are lucky to have.  Don't forget to let your Club know about this memorial.  If you would like more information about memorials please e-mail

Lions Village Lion Ian Stockdale Memorial Chapel

This beautiful restored chapel was once part of the township of Alberton in South Gippsland.  It was due to the hard work of Lion Ian and the Lions Club of Yarram that this building has been brought back to it's former glory.

The Memorial Rose Arbor enhances the setting of the Chapel it just a beautiful place the sit and relax.
Lion Noel hard at work putting the finishing touches to a memorial.
Thanks to Lions Glenda and Ken Marshman
we now have a beautiful beach seat in memory of thier late son Tony.
The memorial plaque took some sticking and it became a band aid job, don't knock it.
It worked just fine.
This bench seat will be enjoyed by many Lions and families.
It is really starting to take shape now as you can see from this photo the roses are taking hold and they seem to love the river rocks as thier footings.  They will even look better next season.
