What is Stregheria?
It is the religion and practice of the form of Italian Witchcraft known to some as Strega. It predates modern Wicca as we know it, such as the works of Starhawk, Cunningham, Farrars, Sanders, and even Gardner. Stregheria was for a long time, preserved within family lines under strict secrecy.
The tradition of Stregheria that has the most publicly accessable information, available through published sources, is Aridian. It originates from Arician Strega. Both are named for regions of Italy that hold special significance in the history of Strega.
Aridian Stregaria
...is, according to it's founder, simular to an Alexandrian or Gardnerian outer court. Originally it was a sect of Strega known as the Tannara, but under the hand of Raven Grimmasi has become a combination of all three sects of Strega including the Janarra and Fanarra.
Neither of these traditions should be confused in any way with the Triad Traditions which are family only hereditary practices. Please check out the links for more information about the Triad Traditions.

I think it is an importantant distiction to note that the Aridian and Arician traditions of Strega are not the only ones. I am currently working on developing a more complete listing of the other traditions. So far, I have only come across two others. They are as follows.
