What a coincidence at the "Act of God.". Well, at least the Insurers will call it that. I am referring to the recent landslide in JB that broke the 1.5m diameter water pipe that supplies water to JB. The landslide caused by construction activity of a nearby project had broken the pipe, and affected 500,000 JB households. The landslide narrowly missed the main water pipe that JB supplies water to Singapore

What a coincidence ? It was only a week ago, SIngapore decided to go ahead with Newatwer, recycling of sewerage water into usable water. And only few weeks ago, we were using words like "war", in our debate of the water issue.

Now that the tempers has cooled down, and verbal acrobatics has stopped it seems that "SOMEONE ELSE" will have something to stay. Not that we should feel vindicated that we have won the argument, that the Divine one smile with us with approval allowing our pipes to be intact and has punished our "bad" neighbours.
Just because we have a narrow escape, we should be grateful and thankful for the window of Grace that the Divine God place on us. And so we should also show love to our neighbours as they are also the creatures of the Divine God.
God is a God that hates the proud and those with a haughty spirit. This time he has allowed our pipes to stay intact I am certain its because of the many Intercessors praying around the clock. But till the Heart of This Nation turn away from Pride and not allow the spirit of Paranoia to spur it on, we are always in danger of the judgement hand of God.
We are an Island Nation and we should be mindful of that and not think we are at the center of the world, head and shoulder above all our neighbours and sometimes the world.
Just as in Genesis 15:15 God did not allow the Amorites to be attacked because the sin was not yet full.....Could we be in a similiar situation that the window of Grace is still opened but until the sin is full ?
And in Ezekiel 14:14, "....Son of Dust, when the people of this land sin against me, then I will crush them with my fist and break off their food supply and send famine to destroy both man and beast. IF NOAH, DANIEL and JOB were here today, they alone would be saved by their Righteousness, and I would destroy the remainder of Israel..." ...here of course, the Lord is speaking to the Israelites who have repeatedly offended God but if I may be so bold to suggest a parallel with us.
There are many that are poorer and oppresed becasue of various policies enacted rightly or wrongly in Singapore. Many has been humbled also with the economic recession. Its the heart that the Lord God is after after all. But till have a humble heart as a Nation, and not just a few but the majority of not all, we always are in danger of the falling and humbling knife of God.
The soul of this nation depend on the Heart of its people. As the proverbial saying goes, Pride goes before a fall.... And 800 workers are laid off, partly if not wholy, because we would not think of adjusting the price of our Ports out of Pride(?).

Even with this episode, Ifeel the Lord will have us know He is still in charge & will have favour upon whom He will have favour. And He has the last say at the end of the day. But till this Nation have a Humble heart the window of Grace will close and we may have to eat HUMBLE PIE the hardway with or without intercessors.
