CAPEC ( CAMEROON ASSOCIATION FOR THE PROTECTION AND EDUCATION OF THE CHILD) seeks to build a community in which all children realize their full potentials in societies that respect people's rights and dignity

CAPEC since its inception in 2002 has been working with and for children and youths in more than thirty (30) villages of Cameroon,Central Africa.CAPEC works to identify the needs and meets the aspirations of the rural children,youths, the underprevilage and weaker sections of the society, through participatory approaches.Our other activities include:awareness raising;community health care;child labour prevention elimination and rehabilitation.The Organisation has raised awareness on HIV AIDS,thanks to GTZ for material support.It has mobilised public opinion against child labour by organising rallies and campaigns in the surburbs of Cameroon

OBJECTIVES

*Make known the rights of the child and to protect them through education as prescribed by UNICEF and UN Convention on the rights of the child

*Assist the needy child irrespective of tribe, origin, sex, religion, in the domain of social welfare

*Child labour prevention and elimination and sexual exploitation of the Child

*Assist children in confinement like prisons and rehabilitation institutions

*Monitor human rights abuse against the child
