End of Exams

by Henry Lam    January 7, 2000

The first term is now over. As of January 7th, 2000, I have no more classes and no more tests. So now is the time to relax, right?

Well, kind of. I get to write my journal entries. Hehe. I also need to clean up my room a bit. I did some oral conversation exams in my room itself and I needed to have a special setup. I had a cardboard box lid, and folding table, 2 extra chairs, lots of paper slips, a die, and, of course, the White Rabbit candy to reward the students after they are finished. One of my regular tables has become overloaded with stuff. I'm just not sure where everything has come from. The mini-mound has sort of crept up on me.

Since we're talking about the oral exam, let me tell you that Friday the 7th was a really busy day for me. I had 4 hours of conversation testing. I had a headache after my first 2 hours. I didn't know if I was going to make it. One of my last students said that I must be very tired. She was right. I was ready to go a little bonkers. My head was really starting to pound and my body really wanted to jump into my bed. When it was all said and done, I got to relax a little, talk to some students, and then I watched The Matrix later that night. Now, "I know Kung Fu" too.

So your question must be: what's next? Well, I'll tell you, but I've really gotta do some backtracking before I go any further. I'm really behind with these bulletins.
