Bear with me. All the information on this page is a combination of theoretical guesswork and experimentation via Yahoo! Instant Messenger. Special thanks to Capella for being my long-distance guinea pig.
SYSTEM REQUIREMENTS
- MacOS X (anybody want to test on other versions for me?)
- CyanWorlds Dnifont, which is available here
NECESSARY FILES
(Right-click links and select "Save Target As..." or similar)
- the program itself, here (83.9 KB)
- the dictionary file and sample documents, here (6.57 KB)
THIS NEEDS TO BE UNZIPPED!
INSTALLATION
(I have no Mac experience, bear with me.)
- MacOS X users are lucky: the Java JRE is already installed on your systems. (At least, that's what the web site says.)
- Install the CyanWorlds Dnifont. I have no idea how you do this, though, sorry.
- Be sure to place both "translator_095_mac.jar" and "dictionary.dnc" in the same folder.
RUNNING THE PROGRAM
- Double-click the JAR file. (translator_095_mac.jar)
- Wait for it...
RUNNING THE PROGRAM (IF YOU HAVE TROUBLE)
- Open Terminal. (no idea how, though, sorry)
- Navigate to the folder where you stored the JAR file. Use "cd .." to go up a folder, "cd [folder_name]" to open a folder, and "pwd" to display the folder you're in. (All without quotes, of course).
- Type "ls" (without quotes) to see the files in the folder you're in. Make sure it has translator_095_mac.jar
- Type "java -jar translator_095_mac.jar" again without quotes. Press enter.
- Wait for it...
