Home |
My homepage introduces me, my teaching philosophy, and the class I am taking at CSUN. |
 |
Notes |
The notes page gives valuable information about EED 515OL, and how to contact Dr. Chang. |
 |
Web Resources |
There
are ten educational websites that are extremely helpful for teachers,
parents, and students. The layout of this page gives information about
the websites, the subject areas covered, the appropriate grade
level, and links to the websites. |
 |
Letter |
This
is an introductory letter sent home to families on the first day of
school. This letter introduces me and tells families what to expect in
the first few weeks of school. The letter can be altered to fit any
classroom and any grade level I teach. The letter was created using MS Word. |
 |
E-grade Book |
This is a sample of the
E-grade Book that I could use in the classroom. The E-grade Book was created using MS Excel. The names of students,
five quiz grades, average grade, and letter grade are all accessible.
The formulas can calculate averages of every assignment, and it is a
helpful tool to assist me in calculating my students' grades. There is
an accompanying graph that shows the average grades on all the
individual assignments as well as the average class grade. |
 |
Power Point |
This Power
Point presentation is made using MS PowerPoint. This presentation is
for a First Grade lesson on patterns. After viewing a pattern on the
screen, students must draw and color the next symbol of the pattern
into their journal. There are also two linked extension activities that
the class can explore as a group or students can explore individually.
The last page of the presentation contains the answers to the patterns.
The teacher can lead the students in a self-correction of their work. |
 |
I-Movie |
During this class, we were not required to complete an I-Movie assignment. |
 |
Newsletter
|
This newsletter is a
sample of the first newsletter I would send home with my students. The
newsletter is created using Microsoft Word, and is a good template for
all future newsletters. The newsletter incorporates many graphics and
lots of colored fonts to give it interest and excitement. The students
will enjoy reading the newsletter with their parents. |
 |
Graphic Organizer |
During this class, we were not required to complete a Graphic Organizer assignment. |
 |
Extra Credit |
This is
a list of the songs I would play during arts and crafts projects in my
First Grade class. I apologize, you are unable to hear the songs here,
but the actual CD was turned in separately. |
