FIRE - Forward Infiltration/Recon Elites

The FIRE Task Forces are the quick strike mobile infantry of the Royal Legions. These highly trained, highly equipped, highly flexible units are used in fast assaults against an enemy position or as relief for friendly units in a hot zone. The FIRE units are usually the first units into an assault area to begin an operation and gain information on enemy numbers, positions and activity.

There are currently two FIRE units in the Royal Legions: the 45th Task Force, Ninth Battalion, Fifth Division of the Third Legion and 162nd Task Force, Thirthy Third Battalion Seventeenth Division of the Ninth Legion. Each soldier is equipped to handle multiple situations and scenarios. The soldiers of the FIRE Task Forces can be identified by the red berets they wear and the golden wings pinned on them.

Each Combat Team of 11 has one officer, a communications soldier, machinegunner and medic soldier. This allows each fighting group of the FIRE to be effective in multiple situations and to be self sufficient in battle. They are sometimes deployed through air and by sea, so the Elites work closely with the Air Corps and Fleets when entering combat.

STAP Forces - Special Tactical and Precision Forces

The STAP Forces are deployed to respond to crisis situations and where their sharpshooting skills are most needed. The STAP personnel are the most highly trained soldiers in all of Lindonarlin. They are called upon to make incursions behind enemy lines in order to take out key targets and location, rescue prisoners and many other strategic missions. STAP Forces are usually deployed with the hopes of containing a situation before it erupts into a full fledge war scenario.

There is currently one STAP Task Force in the Royal Legions, the 103rd Task Force, Twenty Second Battalion, Eleventh Division of the Sixth Legion. Each soldier is equipped depending on their training and operation whether it be demolitions, sharpshooting, incursion or another situation. The soldiers of the STAP Forces can be identified by their black and blue uniforms and equipment.

Within the STAP Task Force each soldier is assigned to a Combat Team but such assignments are not permanent. Combat Teams are flexible and soldiers are periodically reassigned or exchanged between Teams. There is also no set number for a Team, thought usually no more than twelve soldier are assigned to one. Soldier assignments depend on the mission type whether it be demolitions, assassination, and so on.
