The Royal Legions of Lindonarlin provide the land forces for and the backbone to, the armed forces of the Realm. Legions are the largest organizational unit within the Land Forces and are maintained and trained to fight in all conditions. They not only defend the Realm herself but also defend her interests abroad. The Legion keep with a strong tradition of honor and loyalty. The Legions pride themselves on their strength and long history of fighting for the Golden Rose.
The Royal Legions are headquartered at Fort Talen near Victoria where the Legionary High Command meet to discuss strategy and planning. The High Command is made up of the Captain of the Legions, his General Staff made up of his Staff Marshals and Field Marshals and his many advisors. The LHC also see to that the Legions are equipped and supplied properly, that all operations go smoothly, the needs of the individual units are met and that any problems are addressed.
A Legion is made up of two Infantry Divisions, one Artillery Corps, one Armored Regiment and various Support Companies. Combining all these varied units together makes a Legion self sufficient and flexible. During combat, Legions may exchange units in order to better meet the objectives of an operation or may be split up completely depending on the situation.
The Legions maintain a fort or base in each province: HQ at Fort Talen in Ansing, Training Camp at Fort Heide in Westfolde, Military Prison at Fort Rivers in Harafal, Fort Bridges in Nareth, Fort North in Northmoore, Fort Axe in Arhan, Fort Rose in Lancshire, Fort Point in Coryell, Fort Valley in Ralein, Fort Huette in Talsande. In doing so, each province also has a Legion stationed there.
The overall combat strength of a legion numbers 11,973 troops plus 3,097 additional support troops. With twenty Legions this bring combat strength up to 238,400 troops plus 61,685 support troops with another 59,600 personnel on bases and military facilities.

*The cavalry has a history of being fine horsemen and has won many victories for the Realm. With the ascension of Elyssan II the cavalry has been modernized with tanks, armored troops transports and other armored mobile vehicles.
*The Third Legion has a unique ceremonial III Company of lancers, a Company of cavalry and corps of archers that are dressed and equipped in traditional standards. They can be see on parade and review at the Castle of Lorraine in Anor.
*The Seventh Legion's Tenth and Eleventh Companies are charged with the immediate protection of the Monarch.
