The “Herb Carey” perpetual trophy is awarded annually (since 1978) to the winner of a 2 day race series. “Some Fun” has won it a record 4 times & is the present holder.

"I'd like to say that I have been the VERY proud owner of a Lindenberg 22 for the last 5 yrs. At age 65 I told my wife if I wanted to remain competive in racing I had to ditch my Catalina 25 & get this old thing that they stopped making in ' 82. She said " Can that be competitive today?" And I said " You betcha" . I've trailored this thing all over Fl & have been doing very well for a 70 yr old & with a crew not much younger, but certainly a lot uglier. I'd like to register my ser # 2 boat called SOME FUN. I live on the East coast of Fla & trail to races up & down the East & west Fl coasts & sometimes in the middle.”

An aluminum U channel with roller on top has since been added to trailer winch mount. The roller is just above deck level, and supports winch strap which is used to raise/lower mast.
