Hull # 12 - Hot Mustard
Lost in the Everglades

Every time I access the owner's photos section of the L22 website, I
look at the empty spots and wonder how many of those boats have been
lost. Well, I would like to take this opportunity to fill one of
those empty spots with a sort of memorium. Hull #12, the late "Hot
Mustard" is no more. A young doctor friend of mine is the perpatrator
resposible for the second-degree boatslaughter. About five or six
years ago, The young doctor, had planned to tow the boat from
Louisianna to the Florida Keys. The problem was that he was towing
the 2700lb load behind a Saab sedan. Apparently the small
sedan ,being too light to tow such a heavy load at highway speeds and
having front wheel drive, began to fishtail. The trailer and it's
contents banked sharply to port and rolled, pitch pole, into the
Florida Everglades and that was the last that anyone has ever heard
of hull#12.
