Lester was the older, there was about 7 months between the two. I suspect they may be brothers as they were both bought from the same pet shop and they have both turned out to be seal point siamese (or so I am told).
Lester was a big baggy lap rat. He was a real a mommies boy. He was a real greedy little piggy and his main motivation in life was food. Piggot on the other hand seemedto be indifferent towards food, which was unfortunate because we often needed to bribe him out of hiding places. Piggot, if he was human is who you'd expect to be an old time spy. He allways managed to escape out of their cage and found hiding places that I never knew existed. He has only fell for the bribery to-get-him-out-of a nook once after that he learnt. One of his favorite hidey holes was in one of our arm chairs. There was lots of nice padding for him to chew and make into a nest and we can't get him out without dismantling the chair, which resulted in a few 2am sobbing and pleading with the indifferent rodent sessions.
Lester loved to follow me around and if I went into the kitchen or bathroom where it was tiled he would sit on my feet so his little feeties didn't get cold. He was a bit of an oaf and often woke me up by flat-footing it across my head while I am sleeping. Lester lived for food. If he were a wild rat it would be his downfall. Often he would get a fright and dash off to a safe hidey hole, however on the way there he would discover something he thought may possibly be edible, get distracted and stop to eat it. This made it easy to retrieve him when his play time was over.
Most of the pictures I have here are of Lester. Piggot was too busy performing covert top-secret operations....most the pictures I got of were of Piggots bum as he dissapeared into a hidey hole.
