254. Charles STORY was born about 1720. He died on 12 Dec 1791. He was married to Mary ALEXANDER about 1760.

255. Mary ALEXANDER was born in 1741 in PA. She died on 5 Sep 1822 in Pendleton District, SC. Children were:

child ii. Anna STORY(261) was born on 16 Nov 1764 in Sumter, SC. She signed a will on 23 Apr 1849 in Chambers Co. AL. To George Reese a slave in trust for Dr. A. H. Reese. The slave revert to his brothers if he dies without lawful issues. All personal property not disposed of to be sold. To daughter Mary S. Cherry, all my furniture in Pendleton. To daughter in law Mary A. Reese, all furniture, beds, and books in my possession. To daughters of son Horatio Reese $40 each. To Ann Ellis my silver cup. To Mary S. Cherry $300. Rest of estate to be equally divided between Susan Harris, David A. Reese, George Reese, Thomas S. Reese, James E. Reese. To William M. Reese and Charles S. Reese (grandsons?) to share jointly an amount equal to the share of my children. My exrs. to give to Dr. A. H. Reese a note for $1252 payable to Dr. C. M. Reese dated 20 May 1846 with a credit of $653.60, the same I relinquish to him with interest that has accrued. Exrs.: Sons Geo. and James E. Reese. Signed Anna Reese. Witnesses: James A. Cherry, William J. Witherspoon. She died on 26 Mar 1852 in Chambers Co. AL.
child iii. Charles STORY was born on 13 Sep 1766 in Sumter, Camden District, SC. He signed a will on 11 Jan 1835 in Anderson Co., SC. (262) Wife, Susannah, given negro man, Jackson, his wife, Lydia and their children, Nancy and Jim, Nero and his wife, Alice and her eight children: Fany, Carolina, Moses, Eliza, Ann, Sarah, Matilda and Phoebe. Also negro boy, Irwin. Plantation on 23 Mile Creek. To niece, Mary Elizabeth Cherry, a negro girl, Harriet and a boy, Ben and a boy, Clifton (known on the plantation by the name of Henry). Also to have a man, Isham and his wife, Delilah and her children, Alexander and Purcy. Also negro man, Ned. If Mary Elizabeth dies without issue, slaves. go to her brothers and sisters whole or half blood. To sister, Anna Reese, a negro man, Munday. To Dinah Winter, widow of Jeremiah Winter, Dec'd, a negro girl, Mary, her lifetime and after her death to Dinah and Sarah Winter, Daughters of said Jeremiah Winter. To sister, Esther Witherspoon should she be living at the time of my death, $1750. In case sister is not living at my death said money to go to the children of Esther Capels or Cassels. To friend the Rev. Aaron Foster $200. To Charles Storey Willson/ Winter, son of Jeremiah Willson/Winter $150 for board and schooling. Plantation except on 23 Mile Creek sold after death of wife that land sold and divided between Rev. Aaron Foster, my nephew, Nathaniel Harris, Rev. David Humphries and Dr. Nathaniel Harris of Abbeville District. Nephew, Thomas Sidney Reese, one fourth part of the rest of my estate. Nephew, James E. Reese, Esq., one fourth. Niece, Mary Elizabeth Cherry one fourth. Executors: Wife, Susannah, Dr. James A. Cherry and Thomas Sidney Reese. Date 11 Jan 1835 Witnesses: Miles M. Norton, Thomas R. Cherry, Samuel E. Lawhorn/Lawhen. Proven 19 Mar 1835 He died on 22 Jan 1835 in Anderson Co., SC. He was buried on 23 Jan 1835 in Old Stone Church, Presbyterian, Anderson Co., SC.
