70. William FOSTER ⁽⁶⁴⁾ was born about 1740 in Augusta Co., VA or Ireland. ⁽⁶⁴⁾ Scot/Irish descent. He died on 18 Jul 1803 in Bledsoe Co., TN. Others say he died in Augusta Co., VA. He was married to Mary GILMORE in Dec 1763 in Augusta Co., VA.

71. Mary GILMORE was born in 1742 in VA. She died on 17 Dec 1799. The Family Bible in the possession of James Foster of Bledsoe Co., TN. Children were:

ii. Isabella FOSTER⁽⁶⁴⁾ was born about 1776 in Wythe Co., VA. She immigrated in 1814 to from Virginia to Warren Co., TN. She immigrated after 1830 to from Warren Co., TN to MO. She died in 1835 in MO. She was living 1825 to Fall 1830 in Warren Co., TN. Though they were settlers of the country and located in a lovely place, failed to secure a good home. They lived 5 miles south of McMinnville, on the road leading to Wichester. Her husband was a distant relative.
iii. Margaret FOSTER⁽⁶⁴⁾ was born about 1800. She died about 1866. She immigrated after their marriage to from Virginia to Bledsoe Co., TN. She moved in to Hamilton Co. 10 miles from Chattanooga, TN.. The country was occupied by the Cherokee Indians. She was living in Bledsoe Co., TN. She was called Aunt Pegy, and was the mother of 5 sons and 3 daughters. One daughter (who died in 1866) married Anthony Moore (who died in 1870). They died in Harrison, Hamilton Co., TN.
iv. Mary FOSTER was born in 1802 in Wythe Co., VA. She died on 10 Jan 1806. ⁽⁶⁴⁾ A needle left in her dress stuck in her leg when she rode a horse. It remained in her leg for a long time and impaired her health. She died young.
v. James FOSTER was born on 14 Feb 1768 in Wythe Co., VA. ⁽⁶⁴⁾ He died on 23 Mar 1835 in Bledsoe Co., TN. Died of TB. He was living in Bledsoe Co., TN. He owned The Foster Family Bible.
vi. Robert FOSTER was born in 1778 in Wythe Co., VA. He died in Jul 1882. ⁽⁶⁴⁾ His wife, Margaret, and children, William and Jane, moved in with his brother William after his death.
vii. William Fain FOSTER was born on 30 Jul 1774 in Rockbridge Co., VA. He died on 16 Aug 1830 in Franklin Co., TN.⁽⁶⁴⁾ He died of TB.
