The members of the Executive committee met on 29th September at CAS in Botany at 3 P.M, to discuss and decide on the following:
1. To increase the subscription for LSI membership (Rs 200 for Annual Membership
and Rs 2000 for Life Membership)
2. To conduct a National Level Seminar between June and August 2006 in collaboration
with Dr R Ramani Bai, Professor, Dept of Zoology. University of Madras and
to publish all the papers in Indian Hydrobiology journal as a special issue.
3. To conduct a National level workshop on Methods in Limnology (Part2) at
RKM Vivekananda College during November 2006.
4. To contact several researchers and institutes involved in limnological
research and make them members
5. To increase the number of life members by sending membership forms to various
senior scientists
6. To make it compulsory who ever is presenting papers in the national seminar
to be conducted by LSI to register as members of LSI
