YOU DO AS I DO
Effect:  The magician presents two decks of cards.  The spectator selects one of the decks and the magician takes the other.  They both shuffle their respective decks and then swap decks.  They each pick a card from their deck and memorize it.  They place the cards on top of their decks and cut the decks many times.  They switch decks again and each look for the card they selected.  When the selections are turned over they prove to be the same.
Method:  1.  Have two decks of cards and have the spectator chose a deck.  This is a free choice.  Have him take his deck and you take the other deck.

2.  Tell the spectator that they must do exactly as you do.  Start shuffling up your deck.

3.  After the last shuffle peek at the bottom card of your pack and remember it.  This will be your key card.  Then switch decks with the spectator saying "we must switch decks so that i will be using a deck that you have shuffled".

4.  Say "We will now both pick a card out of our decks".  Have him pick one out and place it on top.  You do the same but do not remember the card you selected.  Just remember your key card..  Then have him cut his deck as you do the same.  Allow him to cut as many times as he wants.

5.  Say  "We will now switch decks again.  I would like you to find your card in my deck as I find my card in your deck

6.  As he is finding his card you must find your key card.  His card will be the card to the right of it as you are spreading the deck from left to right.

7.  Pull out your card and place it face down on the table.  Have him do the same with his card.  Say "wouldn't it be funny if we had the same card." Flip both cards over to reveal that they are the same.
